General Questions
Poesea is an online platform where travellers can easily book the best private boat tours along the Amalfi Coast and the surroundings. Poesea connects travelers with boat tour providers by offering the possibility to book a boat immediately with instant confirmation, reducing the times of communication and with no need for previous requests.
Poesea does not own boats. We partner with an authentic network of local boat tour providers. All the boats are owned and operated by these professionals.
Poesea is mainly operating along the Amalfi Coast and Capri island.
Boat tour operators working with Poesea are carefully selected by the Poesea Team among the best tour providers along the Coast and have been in this business for decades.
Poesea does not have an iOS or Android app at this time, but we are planning to launch them soon. Subscribe to our mailing list to be constantly updated.
No, you can search and browse available boats and finalise a booking without having to register on Poesea. If you wish to create an account — where you can easily access all the history of your previous bookings and request cancellations — you can do so by clicking “Sign up”.
Click on the “Sign up” button and create your account using just your email and name. Alternatively, you can sign up using your Google or Facebook account.
Of course. Click on “Reset password” and you will receive an email with further instructions.
Once you are registered on the Poesea platform and have access to your account, you can see all your past and future bookings on the “My Bookings” page.
About the Bookings
By searching on our user-friendly platform, you can easily set the features of your favourite tour and select the boat you prefer. Start by selecting the departure point, the date, and the number of people.
In order to make a reservation you will be asked to pay the full amount of the tour or a deposit via our secure payment gateway provider, Stripe.
Yes, your booking is 100% confirmed once the payment has been settled.
Yes, once your booking has been paid and confirmed, you will receive an email with the confirmation and all the details about the tour. Please note that the contact details of the boat tour provider will be sent to you in a separate email no earlier than 2 days before your tour starts.
The price includes tax (VAT) and service fees. You can also check the different services each boat owner is offering for the tour, e.g. fuel, snacks, soft drinks.
We use Stripe as our payment provider. You can pay by credit or debit card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express), and also via instant payment services such as Apple Pay or Google Pay.
You will pay the full amount of the boat tour to Poesea. It is up to the boat owner to decide whether you need to pay any extra for something not included in your booking initially — for example, additional people on board, extra services requested by you, or port tax where applicable.
On Poesea only private tours are available. The most popular are: Amalfi Coast Full Day, Amalfi Coast Half Day, Capri Full Day, Capri Half Day, and Sunset Tour.
All tours on Poesea are private. You will have the boat — and the skipper — entirely to yourself.
Yes, you can. Our platform gives you the chance to choose among different departure and drop-off points. You will be asked to choose your itinerary in advance. Please note that this might affect the total price of the tour.
It depends on the boat tour provider. Each provider can decide, and you will be able to verify it in the section “What you'll find on board”. Usually small, well-behaved dogs are allowed, but it is always better to double-check!
Yes, all our tours are provided with a skipper on board. There is no possibility to rent a boat tour on Poesea without a skipper.
No, you can only choose from the times that are available on the platform.
No, you can only choose from the ports that are available. Please note that choosing different departure ports might affect the total price of the tour.
Cancellations & Refund
Yes, you can request a cancellation of your booking only from the “My bookings” page in your account. Please note that you need to create an account to be able to do so.
Your eligibility for a refund depends on the anticipation of the cancellation. Our cancellation policy is described on a dedicated page.
In case you need to reschedule your booking, we recommend that you contact us at support@poeseaboats.com. We cannot guarantee that rescheduling will be possible, but we will do our best to accommodate your request and find the best solution for you.
We understand that unexpected weather conditions can arise. In such cases, you will have the option to receive a full refund or reschedule your boat rental directly with the boat owner. It is up to the boat owners and captains to decide whether the weather conditions allow a safe trip. Please reach out to us at support@poeseaboats.com in case of any doubts.
Before the Tour

Two days before the tour starts, you will receive an email with the boat owner’s email address and phone number. At that stage you can contact them directly.
You should bring a swimming suit, sun cream, and good mood! All our boat tour providers offer towels and cold water, so you don’t have to worry about those.
It is best to ask the boat owner directly once you receive their contact details 48 hours before your tour.
We cannot guarantee it will be fulfilled, but we are sure the boat tour provider will do their best to satisfy your request.
In the re-confirmation email you receive 2 days before the tour, you will also receive the details concerning the meeting point.
In case you need to change your booking, we recommend contacting us at support@poeseaboats.com. We cannot guarantee that the modification will be possible, but we will do our best to accommodate your request.
You can select a tour available on each boat’s page under “Booking options”. If you cannot find the tour you’d like, contact us at support@poeseaboats.com. We cannot guarantee a custom tour will be possible, but we will do our best together with the boat tour provider.
No, those tickets are not included in the price of the tour. You will have to pay them directly on site if you wish to visit these caves. During peak season, there can be an hour-long queue to enter, so plan accordingly.
